Sheila has had a lifelong passion for drawing and painting. She enrolled at
Glasgow School of Art and studied there from 2003 – 2006. She then began
marketing her work professionally in 2007 and her art career has developed
from there. She is a full time artist working from her studio in East Renfrewshire.
Sheila’s style of painting is contemporary and she enjoys depicting landscapes
and studio still life paintings. She loves colour and texture. Her landscape
paintings are full of vibrant colour and light. Scenes are depicted with
emphasis on realism and attention to detail combined with more abstract
brush strokes. Still life and floral pieces are bold and carefully composed.
Sheila’s work was featured on the BBC One Show Summer Exhibition and she
has paintings hanging in the Scottish Parliament Building. Her paintings were
shortlisted for the 2017 and 2018 Ken Bromley Cover Competition. Sheila’s work
is exhibited in galleries throughout the UK and has been sold to clients in the
UK, Canada, Australia, France and the Channel Islands.
